I currently live in Recife, Brazil, where I work as an ESL teacher at Cultura Inglesa. Teaching has become one of my greatest passions — it gives me the opportunity to connect with people, inspire growth, and share light in everyday ways.
I was raised by my grandmother, who taught me faith, resilience, and love for the gospel. I’m single today, and although I deeply desire to have an eternal family one day, I trust in God’s timing. My patriarchal blessing reminds me that those promises will be fulfilled when the time is right, and that assurance keeps me hopeful and at peace.
Life after the mission hasn’t always been easy, but the lessons I learned in South Africa continue to strengthen me every day. I’m grateful to still feel connected to that sacred time of service — it continues to shape how I live, love, and serve wherever I am.
Serving in the South Africa Cape Town Mission was one of the greatest blessings of my life. I began my mission in Queenstown, where I learned the foundations of hard work, humility, and faith. After six months, I was called to serve as a Zone Leader and transferred to Langa. Later, I was assigned to Khayelitsha, where I stayed until the end of my mission — a place that forever marked my heart.
Being a Zone Leader for most of my mission allowed me to see many areas, go on exchanges with dedicated missionaries, and work closely with my mission president and fellow leaders. I had the privilege of serving alongside incredible companions, including Elders Ndou, Katwala, Nkusi, Clark, and Erickson — each of whom taught me something different about leadership, service, and discipleship.
The South Africa Cape Town Mission shaped the person I am today. It was there that I learned to rely on the Lord completely, to love people unconditionally, and to trust that the gospel truly changes lives. Those two years were filled with miracles, laughter, challenges, and countless spiritual moments that I will cherish forever.
